I have been interested in what happens with the trash in Senegal. I have only seen one public trash can since I have arrived...most of the trash ends up on the side of the road or is gathered in general pile. But Marilyn and MaryAnne only accumulate a small amount of garbage for the trash wagon. I was delighted to hear them tell that they give their scrap paper to the neighbor sheep--now that is efficient recycling. Water use is also a challenge. Here at the Bible School they are currently installing 3 tanks to gather water from the roofs to water the plants. It is a good system - but it hasn't rained here for 7 months.

Rising hopefully
Marilyn - as usual is up long before me. I thought I was an early riser. I found her heavily involved in some translation study. But she perked up nicely when we sat outside in the little tiki hut for a breakfast of very fresh french bread, papaya, boiled eggs and Nescafe.
